Snack information Our class has snack every morning around 9:00. Most Kindergartners are very hungry and it is a long time between when they ate breakfast at home and our lunch at 11:50. Think of this snack as a second breakfast. Please send a large snack. It may include more than one item. Please make sure they are healthy items that you would want your child to eat for breakfast. Cookies and chips are tasty but they are not good at filling tummies and giving energy to last until lunch.
Some good choices for snack include;
Goldfish crackers, Ritz crackers, cheese Ritz bits, Cheez-Its, graham crackers, Chex Mix, String cheese, squeeze applesauce, apple slices, half of a bagel, grapes, a banana, etc.
Please do not send yogurt or other items that need to be refrigerated or eaten with a spoon.
No peanut products may be eaten in the classroom .
There are many other choices as well but we try to stay away from chips or sugary snacks like cookies except on special occasions.
